Speaking Engagements

BAI offers a variety of professional speakers with unique individual messages to address the needs of the Financial Services industry. Its distinguished speakers include

Bill Bachrach, CSP

Bill Bachrach is one of the most recognized “names” in the Financial Services industry and was named “one of the four most influential people in the Financial Services industry” by Financial Planning Magazine. As the “father” of the Values-Based Financial Planning™ philosophy and the Trusted Advisor concept, Bill’s work has had a profound impact on how Financial Professionals conduct business, and he has stood at the forefront of the movement to transform the Financial Services industry into a true profession.

Mr. Bachrach is the author of four of the industry’s most definitive works, including Values-Based Financial Planning and High-Trust Leadership (co-authored with Norman Levine), and he has delivered well over 1000 presentations worldwide including presentations for:

Financial Planning Association’s Success Forum (seven times)
Million Dollar Round Table (four times)
Top of the Table (three times)
Court of the Table
NAIFA
CAIFA, and
Virtually every major firm within the Financial Services industry

Bill is also a member of the Speakers's Round Table; an organization comprised of 20 of the most celebrated speakers in the world.

On a personal note, Bill Bachrach successfully completed the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon in 1998. The 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile marathon run held annually under difficult conditions is considered to be the toughest single-day athletic event in the world. He uses this and other unique life experiences to captivate the audiences at his speaking engagements.

To schedule Mr. Bachrach* for your next speaking engagement, please call Gina Concotelli, Financial Services Speakers Network, 866-923-2513.

* Mr. Bachrach’s availability is limited. Please try to book your event as early as possible. Additionally, Values-Based Financial Planning books are highly recommended for all attendees to enhance their experience.

Mark Little (Independent Speaker - Not an employee of BAI)

Mark Little is a Trusted Advisor in every sense of the term.  He also is the first Trusted Advisor to reach the elite status of Being Done™. However, at one point in his career, he was ready to leave the Financial Services industry; not because of production (he was the leading producer for his broker/dealer), but because he was overwhelmed by having to serve 1242 Clients while working an average of 84 hours during a six-day workweek. Sound familiar?

Rather than quit the business, Mr. Little decided to try one last thing: he would implement the principles of Values-Based Financial Planning™ with “ruthless execution” as he likes to say. A remarkable thing happened: Mark optimized his practice. He identified 17 Ideal Client (among the 1242 he served) who help him grow his Ideal Community to 91 Ideal Clients within an 18 month window. He was able to reduce his workweek to 36 hours during a three-day period while also quadrupling his production. Most importantly, his Ideal Clients loved the new level of attention they were able to receive, and they became extremely loyal Clients who entrusted Mark with 100% of their investible assets.

Mr. Little also applied the principles he learned in his journey to becoming a Trusted Advisor to gain more balance in his own life. He was able to reduce his weight from 315 pounds to 183 pounds in ten months … but the most fascinating part of that story is how he did it (and we won’t tell).

If you are looking for a speaker with “real world” financial planning experience who can inspire your audience to take stock of their current performance, set goals for improvement, and then execute, execute, execute … then Mark little is your man.

Doug Carter (Independent Speaker - Not an employee of BAI)

R. Douglas Carter has made a career of helping people dramatically improve their effectiveness and efficiency so that they could exceed their highest expectations … and Bill Bachrach always refers to Mr. Carter as his personal mentor.

With a major in Educational Psychology, with a specialty in Behavior Modification, and an MA program in Political Sociology and Collective Behavior, Doug Carter is uniquely positioned to help you find out just how good you can be. His experience includes 8 years with the World’s largest adult training company, where he became one of only 3 trainers certified to train other instructors in any one of the company’s 8 Training Programs anywhere in the world. He also served as CEO of Robbins Research International, Inc. and helped Tony Robbins create material for 2 of the major programs now being presented by company.

Since 1988, Mr. Carter has conducted his own Trainings and Interactive Speaking Programs and authored his book, Clients Forever: How Your Clients Can Build Your Business for You. He has shared the stage with Anthony Robbins, Denis Waitely, Brian Tracey, Les Brown, Mark Victor Hanson, Harvey MacKay, Lou Holtz, Capt. Jerry Coffee, Coach John Wooden, Robert Kriegel, Robert Allen, Michael Gerber, Susie Fields, Bill Bachrach and many other notable speakers and trainers. He has given nearly 5,000 presentations to nearly 1,200,000 people from 5 continents.

We all have a great many strengths and a few misperceived weaknesses. Mr. Carter has designed a tremendous program that will help you explore who you are and how you show up in front of your clients. No matter how much you think you know about yourself, you will learn more if you listen to Doug Carter. For, as important as it is to learn the disciplines associated with the principles of Values-Based Financial Planning™, it is at least as important to have the proper “Way of Being;” and no one can help you achieve and maintain that part of the puzzle better than Doug Carter.

Don VanLandingham, CPA (Independent Speaker - Not an employee of BAI)

Don VanLandingham is outstanding example of a Trusted Advisor who has achieved Being Done™ status while creating a Values-Based Financial Planning™ practice for his Clients.

Mr. VanLandingham started his career as a CPA. After years of developing his practice, he noticed that something was missing. He wanted to provide his Clients with a full range of services that were not available through his restricted practice as a CPA. So, he went about the business of becoming a full-service Financial Planner.

During the course of his effort, he happened upon Value-Based Financial Planning™, and the philosophy resonated with him. At first, he resisted some of the principles. Then, he committed himself to executing all of the principles exactly as they are taught. Within two years, he was “Done.”

Mr. VanLandingham has built a very good practice comprised of extremely loyal Ideal Clients. They enjoy the new level of service, and he enjoys a much more balanced life. His story is an inspiration to anyone who is trying to change for the better. He shares the successes and failures he experienced along the way and projects a belief that “If I can do it, anybody can do it.” Mr. VanLandingham is an excellent choice if you want your audience to hear from someone who knows what it’s like to be “in the trenches.”
